DISTURBED In 'No Hurry' To Release Third Album
April 6, 2005Launch Radio Networks is reporting that it's been more than two-and-a-half years since DISTURBED released its last studio album, 2002's "Believe", and the band has taken its time to make its yet-to-be-titled third effort. But as the project nears completion, lead singer David Draiman told Launch that making the new album was not only a longer process, but a more difficult one. "The last one was a breeze," he said. "We were in and out of here in two and a half months. Now, 'cause there are more songs that we're tracking, because we're paying much more attention to each specific song, because we're, like, over-analyzing, hyper-analyzing, being hyper-critical about everything and just revising things, as long as we feel there's still some positive direction to be achieved, we keep on pushing it."
DISTURBED is currently in Chicago, putting the finishing touches on the new album at the studio of producer Johnny K.
The album features the recording debut of new bassist John Moyer, formerly of THE UNION UNDERGROUND. A late summer/early fall release is planned for the record with fall touring plans on the drawing board as well.
